Here is why anxiety is a more serious problem than just a bad mood
Anxiety is a widespread mental condition we have all experienced. Some people don’t pay much attention to it, while others believe that anxiety can fast turn into a factor for permanent medical disorders such as depression or constant stress. Both are right.
Indeed, anxiety is normal to be felt once in a while. Moreover, sometimes, it’s even a useful thing. Anxiety, for instance, can provide us with a nudge to deal with a tough task or to get more motivated to complete a life-time mission. Apart from these, though, if progressing, anxiety might become a chronicle condition. Without the proper treatment in time, it might cause you severe problems, which is why if you often feel anxiety, you should realize that’s more serious than just a sign for a bad mood.
The worst scenarios of not dealing with the anxiety on a schedule
Unfortunately, a lot of people don’t take anxiety seriously. They tend to allow it to let go naturally. In some cases, it’s possible, but most of the time, anxiety is not possible to be overcome without the proper measures. If you permit anxiety to stagnant in your everyday life and become your constant state of might, the following complications might be parts of your medical and mental status:
- Anxiety affects your body and physical health. Whether you believe it, or not, anxiety might be even a worse reason for dangerous illness rather than flu or a trauma. Anxiety influences on your endocrine, nervous, reproductive and even the locomotors system.
- Anxiety is the enemy number one to your social skills and life. Today, nearly each 2 of 5 people with permanent anxiety admit to “leave” the normal lives of their own free will. How does it happen? An anxious person is at first scared and ashamed of the condition and thus, starts avoiding the people. Then, this isolation becomes the only possible way of leaving for them. They just feel impossible to get outside of their houses and communicate neither with their closest people nor with unknown humans. At last, anxiety is something people get used to and might even start liking.
- Anxiety does not always have medical manifestation. However, if not being treated, it leads to one such as panic attacks, phobias, manias, PSTD, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and many more. All of these health conditions are hard to be fully overcome, while anxiety, on the other side, is not an insurmountable problem at all.
A small, but a helpful list with suggestions for self-care in case of an anxiety
Although I believe you should fully entrust your life coach or therapist to guide you in the anxiety treatment, there’s a bunch of small steps you can make in advance or as a start. I have a solid proposal for you – an excellent set of self-care approaches you can practice to get ready for more serious anxiety treatment in case of a need.
- Find an anxiety body
It’s a perfect approach to manage your anxiety by releasing it through your speech. They say when you say a problem out loud, the problem becomes a half problem. It’s, though, crucial to find someone to talk to when you feel anxiety, who’s positive and mentally healthy. There’s a toxic collaboration between two people who feel an anxiety that might lead to change for the worse.
- Have an anxiety notebook
Try to have it by your side and every time you feel anxiety write down about it. The idea is to find the most significant triggers that make you worry and feel bad. In the beginning, you might not be able to write down the names of the triggers (like arguments at work, problems with the kids or some awful situations in your love life). But don’t worry. This is what the notebook is about. Eventually, when you fill it with situations of anxiety, you will go back to those moments to analyze them. Once you see the common things between these anxiety moments, you will become able to name the triggers in your mind.
- Practice mental exercises
Whether it’s going to be meditation, breathing relaxing exercises, or something else, these moments of calming down your soul and mind are very healthy for any anxious person. The idea is to squeeze the moment and immediately drop everything to start your mental relaxation practice. This is how you will not let the anxiety become and get deeper in your social and physical life.
I have so much more to tell you about the easiest ways to deal with anxiety. And I would be delighted if you count on me.
